You are currently viewing FAQ: New Service Times Beginning July 30

As David shared in this video, we are transitioning to three Sunday morning services on July 30, 2023. Please read the FAQs below to best prepare for this upcoming transition.

Q: What three service times will be available beginning July 30?

  • Our new service times will be 8:00, 9:30 and 11:15 am.

Q: Why are we adding a third service?

  • Primarily, as an expression of hospitality to those we have coming. On our busiest Sunday mornings, it can be a challenge to find a parking spot or a seat. We want to be welcoming to all who come and believe adding a third service will help us do that.

Q: How will this impact our children’s ministry?

  • There will be children’s ministry available at the 8:00 am service for birth to 4 years old. At both the 9:30 and 11:15 am services, there will be children’s ministry for birth to 5th grade.

Q: How will this impact our youth ministry?

  • On Sunday mornings, middle school students (6th-8th grade) will join us for worship in the Sanctuary. At both the 9:30 and 11:15 services, middle schoolers will be invited to join our Youth Pastors after worship for their own message in the Youth room.
  • On Sunday nights, students from 6th-12th grade will have their own service from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at StoneBridge in the Youth room.

Q: Will we still plan to host Sunday Snacks between services?

  • Yes! We still plan to have Sunday Snacks available before the 8:00 am service and between the 9:30 and 11:15 services (from 10:40-11:15.)

Q: Which service will be live-streamed?

  • We will livestream the 9:30 service.

Q: What will be different about the services?

  • Currently, our services last about 75 minutes. When we add the third service, we will shorten the service duration to 65-70 minutes. Although slightly shorter in length, we hope to maintain the same opportunities to engage with God and connect with others.

Q: Are there additional volunteer opportunities?

Q: How can you be praying?

  • Please pray for the church and our team as we navigate this transition. You can pray that (1) we can maintain a sense of family as we add an additional service; and (2) for discipleship opportunities. We believe discipleship happens best along relational lines, and as we grow, we need more people helping with the work of discipleship (with our children, students, and adults). Please ask God what your part is in the work of disciple-making at StoneBridge.
