Jorge and Amanda have been faithfully and courageously walking out their faith after Jorge was hit by a car while riding his bike in December of last year. There are several ways we can support them as a church family as they continue to walk this road. They are so grateful for your prayers and love.

  • Visits: Jorge will remain at the Shepherd Center for a little while longer. He is encouraged by and enjoys visits. Reach out to kim@stonebridgemarietta.org for more information on visiting.
  • Financial: Along with their regular bills and many medical bills, they also need funds to make needed renovations to their home to accommodate Jorge’s wheelchair as well as to purchase other needed items (such as a hospital bed). They have an account set up with Helping Hands where tax-deductible gifts can be given. The funds in that account can be used to go towards their bills, renovations, and other essential needs. You can give online at the link below or mail in a check using these instructions.
  • Summary of current financial needs:
    • Basement Remodel                 $    82,171
    • Mobility Van                             $   40,000
    • Home Healthcare Needs        $     8,000
    • Total                                         $   130,171
  • Fostering their dogs: They have two small dogs that they need to find a home for temporarily while the renovations are being done at their home. If you, or someone you know, can help keep them for a couple of months, please reach out to kim@stonebridgemarietta.org.

  • Travel Trailer for Sale: They are also trying to sell their travel trailer. If you are looking for a camper, know someone who is, or have a high-traffic place it could sit with a “for sale” sign on it please reach out to Kim. You can view it here.
