Last school year 1,851 homeless students were identified in Cobb County and an additional 562 in Marietta City Schools.
Stonebridge is working with MUST Ministries to establish a partnership between Marietta City Schools, Cobb County Schools, and local churches to provide housing, federally funded rental assistance, and a support system for these families over a 24-month period.
There will be a case manager from MUST overseeing the program, TBRA federal rent support, and vetting and long-haul support through school social workers
A critical piece in this support system will be landlords who have housing in these school districts. Landlords would receive fair market rental for their property through the TBRA funds (would receive guaranteed fair market rental for 2 years)
