Jesus encounters opposition for doing good on the Sabbath, but He is the one who determines what is acceptable on the Sabbath.
We Sabbath (or rest) because God rested, it is part of the rhythm of creation, and it is is a tangible expression of our faith- to be intentionally non-productive when we have so much to do is an act of trust in God.
