You are currently viewing May is National Foster Care Month

May is National Foster Care Month, a time to raise awareness about the foster care community and learn how this work aligns with God’s heart. In Cobb County there are 469 children in foster care and only 103 foster families. What a staggering statistic!

The Church is uniquely equipped and called to enter into the work of caring for children and families in crisis. There are many ways to get involved – from becoming a licensed foster parent to supporting StoneBridge families who are already engaging in this work.

As this month closes, please join us in thinking and praying about your role in serving the Cobb County foster care community. To find out more, visit fostergeorgia.com, review the flyer here, reach out to Tess Dykstra at (276) 356-8554 or tessd@theforgotteninitiative.org.
