Checking In To SB Kids
The SB Kids entrance is located near the foot bridge at the east entrance. This is where you can securely check in your children and drop them off in their age-appropriate room.
Classrooms open 15 minutes before each service. For security, outside doors are locked at 15 minutes after the beginning of each service. Please plan to check-in children during this 30-minute window.
CHECK-IN/SECURITY PROCESS:
When you enter the SB Kids area, you will sign your child in on the tablets and receive a two-part security name tag. One tag will be placed on your child and you'll keep the other tag with the matching code. Please keep this security tag to pick up your child. If we need to contact you during the service, a SB Kids staff member will reach out via the contact number on your child’s name tag.
To ensure your child is safe and sound, all of our volunteers go through a screening and training process, have passed a criminal background check, and we adhere to safe adult/child ratios in each age group.
If you have any questions before you arrive, email our SB Kids Director, Emily Massi.
Wellness Policy

- Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
- Common cold (onset through one week)
- Sore throat
- Any unexplained rash or skin infection
- Cloudy or green runny nose

- Persistent cough or croup
- Any communicable disease
- Any symptoms of common childhood diseases, such as chicken pox, strep throat, etc.
- Head lice
What To Expect
INFANTS
Leaving your baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of your infant’s needs. Our goal is to help your infant feel safe, secure, and loved - and to put your mind at ease. To ensure you and your baby have everything you need for a great experience at church:
- We ask you to bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and any special blankets that will soothe your baby through their time at church.
- Please inform volunteers of any details concerning feeding and napping schedules when you drop off your baby.
- We promote children from one nursery room to the next based on age.
TWOs + THREES
Our toddler classrooms all experience activities, worship, and a Bible lesson each Sunday. To ensure the best experience for you and your child:
- Please bring extra diapers and a change of clothes
- Please let the volunteers know if your child is potty training
FOUR YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL
Your preschooler will experience activities, worship, and a Bible lesson all centered around a Biblical truth each Sunday. To ensure the best experience for you and your child:
- Please label all your child's personal items such as coats or bags
- The preschool classroom is for children who are in their year before Kindergarten. Children who are not yet in their year prior to Kindergarten will continue to attend the 3-year-old class until the start of the next school year.
KINDERGARTEN - 2nd GRADE
Our Kindergarten – 2nd graders will spend time together in a large group setting where they will spend time in worship and prayer, and they will receive a lesson based on the Bible. They then transition to small groups (Kindergarten in one group, and 1st and 2nd grade held in one group together) where they will meet with small group leaders for games, discussion, and prayer.
3rd- 5th GRADE
3rd - 5th graders will spend time together in a large group setting where they will worship, pray and receive a Bible lesson. Afterwards, they transition to three separate small groups: 3rd grade in one group, 4th and 5th grade girls in a group together, and 4th and 5th grade boys in the third group. There, they meet with small group leaders for games, discussion, and prayer.
Big Friday Nights is a group gathering and discipleship time for 4th and 5th graders. This group meets one Friday per month during the school year. If you have a 4th or 5th grade child, and would like more information please contact our Preteen Area Pastor, Katie Cavender.
