The StoneBridge Kids Ministry
In StoneBridge Kids, we believe that these early years of faith development provide a significant opportunity for encouraging a firm foundation and deep roots in the faith of our children. We seek to connect our StoneBridge Kids to Jesus in meaningful ways, and to support parents in discipling their children at home. We want to help children view themselves and the world around them through the good news of the gospel as they grow in understanding of God's love for them and in turn, grow in their love for Him.
The StoneBridge Kids Ministry seeks to connect children to Jesus and encourage them to grow in a faith rooted in these essential truths: We know that our true identity is found in Christ. (Romans 8:14-15), We have confidence in our access to the Holy Spirit and God the Father through faith in Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19-22), We trust that God is a good father who loves and responds to His children. (Matthew 7:7-11), We share the good news, knowing that Jesus is for everyone. (Acts 1:8).

Checking In To StoneBridge Kids
Whether you are a first time guest, a returning visitor, or a regular to SB Kids, please come to the East Entrance at the opposite end of the church from the front door. This is where your children will be securely checked-in to SB Kids and you will be able to drop your child off in their room.
Classrooms open 15 minutes before each service. Children’s ministry volunteers will be prepared to greet your children at that time. For security, outside doors are locked at 15 minutes after the beginning of each service. Please plan to check-in children during this 30-minute window.
CHECK IN/SECURITY PROCESS:Â
When you enter the StoneBridge Kids area, you will sign your child in and receive a two-part security nametag. One portion of the numbered tag will stay on your child at all times. You will receive the other portion of the tag with the matching code. You must have this security tag to pick up your children. This is to ensure that no one picks them up without your permission. In the event we need to contact you during the service, a children’s ministry staff member will text or call the contact number on your child’s nametag or will come and get you from the service.
For safety and stability reasons, we ask that parents say goodbye to their children at the door instead of going into the classrooms.
Staff or volunteers monitor the entrance to the children’s area before and after every service.
All of our volunteers go through a screening and training process and have completed a criminal background check.
WELLNESS POLICY
For the protection of your child and other children, parents are requested not to bring a child who appears to be ill into the children’s ministry area. Based on the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should not be brought to church when any of the following exists:
- Fever in the past 24 hours
- Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
- Common cold (onset through one week)
- Sore throat
- Any unexplained rash or skin infection
- Cloudy or green runny nose
- Pink eye or other eye infections
- Persistent cough or croup
- Any communicable disease
- Any symptoms of common childhood diseases, such as chicken pox, strep throat, etc.
- Head lice
What To Expect: Infants
Leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all your infant’s needs. Our main goal is to help your infant feel safe, secure, and loved. We believe even the youngest child can begin to know God and his love for them when they encounter that type of environment in a church setting. To ensure that your babies receive the best care, we adhere to safe adult to child ratios at all times.
We hope the following information will help you and your baby have a great experience at church:
- Please bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and any special blankets that will soothe your baby through their time at church. Label all items that belong to your baby.
- As you drop off your baby, please inform volunteers of any details concerning feeding and napping schedules.
- We promote your children from one nursery room to the next based on age. Signs with age ranges are posted outside each classroom door.
What To Expect: Twos & Threes
Our toddler classrooms all experience activities, worship, and a Bible lesson all centered around a Biblical truth each Sunday.
To ensure that our classrooms are safe and to create the best possible learning environments, we adhere to safe adult to child ratios at all times.
- Be sure to bring extra diapers and a change of clothes. Label all items that belong to your child.
- If your child is potty training, please be sure to communicate that to a leader.
What To Expect: 4 Year Old Preschool
Your preschooler will experience activities, worship, and a Bible lesson all centered around a Biblical truth each Sunday. In order to create the most ideal teaching environment, and to ensure that our classrooms are safe, we adhere to safe adult to child ratios at all times.
- Please label all items, such as coats, bags, etc. that belong to your children.
PROMOTION TO THE ELEMENTARY HALL:Â
Your children will be promoted to the elementary hall based on the age cut-off set by the school system. Promotion takes place in the summer before your child enters Kindergarten.
What To Expect: Kindergarten - 3rd Grade
Our Kindergarten – 3rd graders will spend time together in a large group setting where they will spend time in worship and prayer, and they will receive a lesson based on the Bible scripture chosen for the day. They then transition to small groups (Kindergarten and 1st grade together and 2nd and 3rd grade together) where they will meet with small group leaders for games, discussion, and prayer all based on the scripture taught that morning.
What To Expect: 4th and 5th Grade Preteens
4th and 5th graders will spend time together in a large group setting where they will spend time in worship and prayer, and they will receive a lesson based on the Bible scripture chosen for the day. They then transition to small groups (4th and 5th grade girls together and 4th and 5th grade boys together) where they will meet with small group leaders for games, discussion, and prayer all based on the scripture taught that morning.

Big45
Big 45 is a group gathering and discipleship time for 4th and 5th graders. This group meets one Friday per month during the school year. If you have a 4th or 5th grade child, and would like more information, please contact our Preteen Area Leader, Luke Bentley at Luke@stonebridgemarietta.org.
